What I Built
OPN Stream is the first real-time payment streaming protocol on the OPN blockchain. Senders lock OPN tokens in a smart contract, which transfers funds to the recipient every second—continuously, automatically, without intermediaries.
Why
Traditional payments are discrete: monthly salaries, lump sum grants, vesting with cliffs. OPN Stream makes money programmable and fluid. Funds flow every second. Recipients withdraw funds whenever they want. Senders can cancel a transaction at any time and immediately recover any unused balance.
How it works
- The sender calls createStream with the recipient's address, amount, and duration
- The contract locks funds and calculates the per-second rate
- The recipient sees a live progress bar updating every second
- The recipient calls recall at any time to collect accumulated tokens
- The sender calls cancel to stop the stream—the contract distributes the balance equitably

- Smart contract: Solidity 0.8.19, deployed on the OPN chain
- Frontend: Single-file HTML application with ethers.js, no compilation required
