What we built
OPNX is a next-generation, premium decentralized perpetual futures exchange (DEX) built 100% on-chain on the OPN Chain Testnet. It features a stunning, state-of-the-art dark emerald trading terminal and provides traders with an institutional-grade experience. Users can open leveraged Long/Short positions (up to 10x) with guaranteed fast execution, transparent on-chain margin requirements, and deep liquidity powered by the OPN Liquidity Pool (oLP).
Why we built it
Decentralized derivatives trading often suffers from sluggish execution speeds, clunky user interfaces, and a lack of proper client-side automation. We built OPNX to demonstrate that perpetual trading on the OPN Chain can be exceptionally fast, highly secure, and visually breathtaking. By leveraging the fast block times of the OPN Testnet, we successfully implemented a fully decentralized, non-custodial trading terminal that rivals centralized alternatives in design and responsiveness while remaining trustless.
How it works
OPNX operates through a highly optimized system of smart contracts and a premium React-based frontend:
1.PerpEngine Core: Coordinates all trade interactions. It handles position creation, real-time margin adjustments, fees collection (0.1%), and coordinates payout distribution. 2.Liquidity Pool (oLP): A decentralized vault where liquidity providers can deposit USDC to mint oLP shares, yielding native compounding interest from trader fees and losses. 3.Automated client-side TP/SL Execution: Features a robust, background-running execution engine. When mark prices cross custom take-profit or stop-loss thresholds set by the user, the app automatically triggers the underlying on-chain closePosition transactions. 4.Interactive Performance Terminal: Traders can monitor their account history with responsive Lightweight Charts displaying Total Equity, Cumulative Realized PnL, and All-Time trading volume synced seamlessly via React Context and LocalStorage.
