OPN 2048 Game

What is OPN 2048? OPN 2048 is a decentralized, Web3-integrated puzzle game deployed on the OPN Testnet. It takes the familiar 2048 grid gameplay and moves it onto the blockchain, allowing players to securely log their scores, track personal highs, and compete on a live global leaderboard that reads data directly from deployed smart contracts.

Key Features On-Chain Leaderboard: Real-time ranking updates pulled directly from the smart contract using ethers.js.

Smart Contract Auto-Play: An automation utility that lets the contract execute game logic for the player in exchange for a native token gas fee.

MetaMask Integration: Smooth pipeline handling for network switching and real-time wallet tracking within a single-file application.

The Motivation Behind the Project Why did we build this? Traditional online games store user achievements and leaderboards on centralized databases. This makes them vulnerable to score manipulation, cheating, and data breaches.

We built OPN 2048 to showcase how micro-gaming logic and competitive rankings can be completely decentralized using the OPN Testnet. By pushing game scores through a secure smart contract, we achieve a higher standard of transparency and fairness:

Immutability: High scores are verified on-chain, meaning players cannot spoof or edit their ranks by modifying browser elements.

Token Utility: It creates a practical use case for native OPN tokens by linking them to dynamic in-game actions like unlocking premium features.

Web3 User Experience: It demonstrates that blockchain gaming can be fast, responsive, and just as smooth as standard web applications.
