OPN Remit — Borderless Payments on OPN Chain The Problem Traditional remittance systems are broken. People around the world pay 5-10% in fees just to send money across borders. Transactions take days to settle, banks act as gatekeepers, and millions of unbanked people are left out of the global financial system entirely. This is the problem OPN Remit is built to solve. Our Solution OPN Remit is a permissionless remittance protocol built natively on OPN Chain. It allows anyone to send money to any wallet address instantly, with only a 1% flat fee and no intermediaries involved. There are no banks, no approvals, and no delays. Just fast, transparent, on-chain transfers. How It Works A user connects their wallet and calls the sendMoney function with a receiver address and a note. The contract automatically deducts a 1% protocol fee and transfers the remaining amount directly to the receiver. Every transaction is recorded on-chain, creating a permanent and transparent history for both sender and receiver. Key Features Instant transfers powered by OPN Chain sub-second finality. Smart Contract The core contract is written in Solidity and deployed on OPN Testnet. It includes sendMoney for transfers, getSentHistory and getReceivedHistory for on-chain records, getContractStats for protocol analytics, and updateFee for owner governance. The contract is fully verified and open source on GitHub. Vision and Roadmap Phase 1 is the core remittance contract now live on OPN Testnet. Phase 2 will add a frontend interface so non-technical users can send money easily through a simple web app. Phase 3 will introduce multi-token support and scheduled payments. Phase 4 will focus on mobile integration and expanding access to underbanked communities across emerging markets. OPN Remit — Roadmap
Phase 1 — Core Protocol (Current) Smart contract deployed on OPN Testnet with full remittance functionality. sendMoney function live with 1% fee mechanism. On-chain transaction history for all users. Contract open source on GitHub.
Phase 2 — Frontend Interface (Month 2) Build a simple web application so non-technical users can send money without touching code. Connect wallet, enter receiver address, enter amount, and send. Mobile responsive design for easy access on any device.
Phase 3 — Multi Token Support (Month 3) Add support for multiple tokens beyond native OPN. Allow users to send any OPN Chain token through the same interface. Introduce token swap before send so users can pay in one token and receiver gets another token.
Phase 4 — Scheduled Payments (Month 4) Add recurring payment functionality for payroll and subscriptions. Employers can schedule weekly or monthly payments to multiple wallets in one transaction. This brings payroll completely on-chain.
Phase 5 — Mobile App and Global Expansion (Month 5 to 6) Launch a mobile application for iOS and Android. Target underbanked communities across emerging markets worldwide. Partner with local communities to drive real adoption and usage at ground level.
Long Term Vision OPN Remit will become the default remittance and payment layer on OPN Chain. Every person with a smartphone will be able to send money globally without banks, without delays, and without high fees. Open finance for everyone.
