DAHYTA is a permissionless on-chain escrow primitive on OPN Chain. A depositor locks OPN into a smart contract with a designated beneficiary. Only the depositor can release — or cancel after a timeout. No admin, no multisig, no intermediary.

Proven on-chain — complete escrow cycle executed (Jul 21, 2026):

  • Deploy Tx: 0x3a16d01179b3726d6dbe6bb0e35e64a62deacb67fe38c7a7ab7ba8aa52e2ed7f
  • Escrow: 0x3abbf603429c2c42c8bd84f02b33a51b7aa0f03d
  • Locked 0.01 OPN → Released Tx: 0xc6d59856a375e6c5a99c5ebab91ba2d40ec084b9bff504765cd560b8e070e283

How it works

  1. Deposit: Deploy a new escrow with beneficiary, amount, and timeout (in blocks)
  2. Hold: Funds locked on-chain. Beneficiary can verify anytime. Depositor cannot withdraw
  3. Release: Depositor calls release() → funds transfer instantly
  4. Cancel: If deadline passes without release, depositor recovers funds via cancel()

Why

P2P transactions today need blind trust or expensive intermediaries. On OPN Chain, a single contract replaces the middleman. Each escrow is its own deployment — fully on-chain, immutable, verifiable. Zero platform fees.

Roadmap

  • Deploy on OPN mainnet
  • Multi-signature release (2-of-3 arbitrated)
  • Factory contract for batch escrow creation
  • Time-locked auto-release via oracle triggers Frontend included in repo (frontend/index.html): wallet connect, deploy with timeout, check status, release, cancel — all via browser.

Roadmap

02/03

What ships next.

The builder's own next-quarter plan. Use it to gauge follow-through and ambition.

Q1 · Now (Jul – Sep 2026)

  • Launch on OPN Chain mainnet
  • Timeout cancel escrow demonstrated on testnet (done)
  • Web UI with wallet connect, deploy, release, cancel (done)
  • Publish integration guide for developers

Q2 (Oct – Dec 2026)

  • Multi-signature release (2-of-3 arbitrated escrow)
  • Escrow factory contract — one deploy, multiple beneficiaries
  • REST API for programmatic escrow (bounties, freelance platforms)

Beyond (2027)

  • Conditional release via on-chain oracles (e.g. delivery confirmation)
  • Escrow-as-a-Service embeddable widget for OPN Chain marketplaces

On-chain proof

03/03

2 contracts on OPN Chain.

The chain itself confirmed every deployment is valid, signed by the builder's wallet, and inside the season's window.
